I'm writing this to welcome all the Chinese students who are new here in San Francisco Bay Area.

I was a foreign student in the States over 18 years ago. We didn't get much help from local Chinese at that time. But we do hope we can share experience with all the foreign students here.

2.购买日常用品: Walmart 连锁百货商场 ( Interestingly, there is no Walmart near SFSU )
Dollar Stores: e.g. http://www.yelp.com/biz/one-dollar-only-san-francisco#query:dollar%20store
You may go to http://maps.google.com/ to search for your own location first and then type in "dollar store" to search again
e.g. Dollar Store Near SFSU 你可以买牙膏、牙刷、衣架、洗洁精等日用品，常常每样一元美金。但由于便宜，有很多不能退换。

3.你若刚刚到美，可能需要尽快申办Social Security Number. You need to go to a local Social Security Office. Search at here with your zip code:

但那只提供有线电话。若需要手机，可以考虑较经济的 AT&T 和 T-Mobile 两家无线电话公司。
